Pres. Bongbong Marcos Emphasizes Filipino People “Don’t Deserve” To Suffer
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President got “teary-eyed” during his latest podcast interview because he’s very upset over flood control mess.
The flood control projects issue in the Philippines has greatly left the Filipino people and Pres. Marcos disappointed and angry. According to Marcos Jr., the country has already spent over P500-billion in flood control projects from July 2022 to May 2025. He also named the contractors that got around P100 billion from the said total spending.

The President tagged the country’s spending as “enormous”. According to him, here are the 15 contractors that were awarded with around 18% of the total government flood control deals:
- Legacy Construction Corporation
- Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp.
- St. Timothy Construction Corporation
- QM Builders
- EGB Construction Corporation
- Topnotch Catalyst Builders Inc.
- Centerways Construction and Development Inc.
- Sunwest, Inc.
- Hi-Tone Construction & Development Corp.
- Triple 8 Construction & Supply, Inc.
- Royal Crown Monarch Construction & Supplies Corp.
- Wawao Builders
- MG Samidan Construction
- L.R. Tiqui Builders, Inc.
- Road Edge Trading & Development Services

Amid the issue, Pres. Bongbong Marcos wants an independent commission that will investigate the flood control issue. In Bulacan which is the province that got the most number of government-funded flood control deals, Marcos Jr. found an incomplete flood control project that was also found with “substandard” materials.
Furthermore, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also got angry by the “fully-paid” ‘ghost’ Riverwall in Bulacan which cost the government over P55-million. Recently, in a podcast interview, the Chief Executive went ‘teary-eyed’ while he speaks of the suffering of the Filipino people.

The latest podcast which is also posted on the official Facebook account of the President is the first past of the Episode 4 of the BBM Podcast. Kapuso news anchor Vicky Morales mentioned to the President that he is “teary-eyed” as they talk.
“Yes, because I’m very upset. I see people having a hard time, and they don’t deserve it,” Marcos Jr. said.

According to Pres. Marcos, the people must be punished if they are bad people but that is not the case in the Philippines. During the podcast interview, he stressed that the Filipino people did nothing but work and love their family.
“Mabuti kung masamang tao ‘yan, dapat parusahan. Hindi naman eh, walang ginawa ‘yan kung hindi magtrabaho, kung hindi mahalin ang pamilya. Ba’t mo paparusahan? Para magpayaman ka? That makes no sense to me,” the President said.
Amid the issue, Pres. Bongbong Marcos wants the independent commission for the flood control investigation to have a “subpoena power”.
