Here’s what Mayor Vico Sotto said amid the probe involving Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has this to say amid the missing luxury cars of contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
Contractor couple Pacifico “Curlee” and Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya are still in the Philippines. On Monday, Sarah attended the hearing regarding the probe into the alleged anomalies in the country’s flood control projects.

The spotlight was heavily put on them after the viral post of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto about the paid reporters who feature controversial personalities, giving them a channel to cover up their alleged controversies. The post from the Pasig mayor greatly impacted the investigation.
In recent developments, the BOC was able to seize 12 luxury cars. According to their lawyer, the couple is not hiding their cars, as there was nothing to hide. He asserted that all cars were purchased in a legal manner.
Based on a previous article, the lawyer explained the missing cars of the Discaya couple. He said, “Ginagamit ho kasi yung ibang sasakyan. So, yung iba naman for maintenance, yung iba naman, e, nailagay sa isang lugar kasi preemptive measure sila ngayon kasi dahil nagbabaha dito sa Pasig.”
Mayor Vico reacted to this and expressed his amusement at how prepared the legal counsel was in explaining the whereabouts of the other cars. He was also amused that they have so many cars that their lawyer has to prepare three reasons to justify.
“Sa sobrang dami nilang sasakyan, kinailangan gumawa ni Atty. ng tatlong excuse kung bakit bigla silang nawala. Kahit Ondoy level, di naman aabutin ang parking lot nila. Yung Rolls Royce na nilabas 2 weeks ago, nakabalik na ba? Don’t worry guys. Akala lang nila may naloloko sila pero patibay ng patibay ang mga kaso laban sa kanila,” he stated.
Meanwhile, according to their lawyer, they are still in the Philippines, and assure the public that they are not running away. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon has asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to issue an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against several contractors and government officials allegedly linked to ghost projects, among them failed Pasig City mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya.
An ILBO is not an indictment of guilt, but a directive to closely monitor these people while the investigation is still ongoing.
