Lookout bulletin issued for Gretchen Barretto, Atong Ang, and others.
The DOJ has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order for over 50 people, including Atong Ang and Gretchen Barretto.
In connection with the several cockfighting enthusiasts who went missing four years ago, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has released an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against businessman Charlie Atong Ang, actress Gretchen Barretto, Retired Lt. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, and 50 more personalities. All of whom are allegedly involved in the case.
These are the individuals who supposedly belong to Ang’s “Alpha Group.”
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said that all the personalities who were tagged by whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, or alias “Totoy,” were issued ILBO. Remulla said on Friday, “Mayroon na naman tayong lookout bulletin sa lahat. It’s already there… Mga binanggit ni Patidongan– we have issued lookout bulletins already.”
According to him, there was one who left the country, and they are uncertain if this individual has already returned.
The ILBO that has been issued is now under preliminary investigation by the DOJ. According to the DOJ National Prosecution Service prosecutor-general Richard Anthony Fadullon, their evaluation of the complaints filed by the relatives of the missing sabungeros is already finished, and they have found sufficient ground to proceed with the formal investigation.
ILBOs require immigration personnel to monitor a subject’s entry and exit, but do not permit them to prevent departure.
Meanwhile, in the recent development based on a previous article, 401 “human skeletal remains” were recovered from Taal Lake as the authorities continue to search the depths of the lake’s water. This is after the whistleblower claimed that the bodies of the cockfighting enthusiasts, who were all dead now, were thrown into it. The search operations will likely last for months.
