Man Stealing Bicycle Inside House in Sta. Cruz Manila Caught on CCTV
THEFT – A man was caught on CCTV breaking into a house and stealing a bicycle in Sta. Cruz, Manila during wee hours.
In the early hours of August 20, 2025, a male suspect was caught stealing a bicycle from a house at Barangay 359 in Sta. Cruz. The video showed the man, dressed in a jersey and shorts, carrying a small stool with him.
He first looked around carefully, as if making sure no one was watching. Moments later, he placed the stool by the door, climbed on it, and appeared to tamper with the lock. After a few attempts, he managed to open the door and slip inside.

In less than a minute, the man was seen walking out with a bicycle, which he immediately rode away from the scene. His movements, according to Barangay Chairman Jeff Ian Cabiltes, suggested that he was experienced and knew exactly what he was doing.
The barangay also confirmed that the suspect is not a resident of their community. The homeowner, who chose not to face the camera, shared that they were asleep when the theft happened. They only discovered the loss after seeing the CCTV footage.
Instead of filing a police blotter, the family decided to post the video online to warn others and to increase the chances of identifying the thief if he tries to sell the stolen bicycle.
While no one was hurt, the stealthiness of the act left residents uneasy, especially since it happened in the dead of night while families were fast asleep.
The barangay is urging residents to be extra cautious, secure their homes, and immediately report any suspicious activities to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
