Kim Chiu Speaks About Timeslot Issue Of “The Alibi”

This is what Kim Chiu said about the issue.

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu addressed the issue that came with the timeslot change of her series, “The Alibi.”

Two weeks ago, it was announced that Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s series, “The Alibi,” will headline ABS-CBN’s primetime block starting March 16 (Monday), at 8 PM. It filled the slot left by “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” when it ended.

Supposedly, Coco Martin’s new series “Sigabo” will take the time slot. However, it has been decided by the actor and the management to push back its premiere to allow the whole team to rest and recover after mounting an explosive finale week of FPJBQ.

However, recently, concerns among the fans of Chiu and Avelino arose when their series was moved, and ABS-CBN announced that the new action series Blood vs Duty, featuring Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson.

This decision did not sit well with many fans of Kim and Paulo. Some even expressed disappointment and threatened to boycott the new show.

Amid the backlash, Chiu broke her silence and assured her fans that there’s nothing to worry about. According to her, the series was meant to air in the third slot from the beginning, but unforeseen circumstances have led to its 8 PM placement.

“There were just some unforeseen circumstances where another show wasn’t quite ready yet. Since The Alibi has already been completed and has been streaming on Prime since last year, we’re simply filling in the slot for a little while,” she wrote.

The show has been moved to the 8:45 PM timeslot. For the actress, this is still a strong primetime position. Amid the uproar, she expressed gratitude to fans for their continued love and support.

The changes are as planned, and everything is under control.
