According to reports, Nadia Montenegro was disappointed with the turnout of the allegations.
After resigning from her Senate post, former actress Nadia Montenegro expressed that she was disappointed when the incident report emerged online.
The Office of Sen. Robin Padilla on Monday announced the resignation of political officer actress Nadia Montenegro. This is after she was put on leave amid the “Mary Jane” allegation which she was greatly involved. Montenegro denied “Mary Jane” use and insisted that it was just a vape.

To recall, a staffer from Senator Panfilo Lacson’s office was the one who reported the incident to a Senate security personnel after noticing an “unusual odor” coming from the ladies’ comfort room near the Senators’ extension offices.
She was identified in an incident report and, as part of the investigation, was asked to provide an explanation. However, along with the documents proving her non-involvement, Nadia also submitted her resignation.
Recently, through her legal counsel, she was accordingly disappointed when the incident report bearing her name as the one accused of using pot inside the Senate president emerged online, which in turn, created a loud buzz.
According to Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, her client felt disheartened that the document addressed to the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (OSSA) was released to the media. Its publication drew massive reactions and ultimately cast her in a negative light, leading many to judge her.
“Nakalagay naman sa IR na hindi siya nakitang nag-m@r!ju@n@ sa CR. When the OSSA approached her, vape lang ang nakita kay Nadia at pinaamoy pa niya ang grape-flavored vape niya,” Atty. Maggie told PEP through a text message.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, what also created a loud buzz online was Montenegro’s salary as the Political Affairs Officer VI of Senator Padilla. According to the report, she has a Salary Grade of 24, a level that typically starts at ₱98,185 monthly.
