Cristy Fermin reacted to the arrest warrant issues against her
Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin said that she is already “sanay” to dealing with cyber libel cases, just like the one filed by actress Bea Alonzo.
Cristy was known as a showbiz writer and host for many years. She is quite famous for her fearless comments and “chika” about certain celebrities and showbiz issues.
In line with the nature of her work, personalities would inevitably react to her statements and file a complaint against him. Since her current shows are on online platforms, Bea filed a cyber libel complaint against her.

Cristy’s Showbiz Now Na co-hosts Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, also faced the same complaint.
Just recently, reports surfaced that Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 93 released a warrant of arrest against Cristy Fermin and her co-hosts, as the court stated that there was probable cause to hold the accused for trial.
In an episode of Cristy Ferminute, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the veteran showbiz insider said that she had no idea when the arrest was released, even her lawyer knew nothing about this.
Then, she said that she is used to being in this situation, but her co-hosts are not. “Sinabi ko ngayon kay Rommel na may warrant kami at babayaran, alam mo naman ‘yun hindi sanay, sila ni Wendell ako lang ang sanay na,” the veteran showbiz insider said. She already posted bail.

To recall, Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan also filed a cyber libel complaint against Cristy Fermin last year. However, the two camps have reconciled just recently. Sharon and Kiko decided not to pursue the case.
In August last year, Cristy shared that the cyber libel case filed by Alex Gonzaga’s mom, Mommy Pinty filed was junked.
