PAGASA Says Tropical Storm Emong to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Tropical Storm Emong will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (July 26, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Emong will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA Tropical Depression Emong has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It was last spotted 500 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 55 km per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kph, moving north-northeastward at 45 kph.

“Emong will continue to accelerate generally north-northeastward and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility [Saturday] morning,” Pagasa explained.

Due to the increasingly unfavorable environment and fast translational speed of Emong, it will likely degenerate into a remnant low within the next 12 hours,” it added.

The southwest monsoon will bring occasional rains over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro, and cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of MIMAROPA.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms are expected over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, according to PAGASA.

Rough coastal waters are expected seaboards of Batanes and Babuyan Islands, the northern seaboard of Ilocos Norte, mainland Cagayan and Isabela, the western seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, and Zambales.

The remaining parts of the country will have moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA
