Another Oil Price Hike to Take Effect on Tuesday (July 22, 2025)
Another oil price hike is expected to take effect this week, following two consecutive weeks of fuel price increases
Filipino motorists will once again feel the pinch at the pump as fuel prices are set to increase on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). It marks the second straight week of price hikes for petroleum products, adding to the burden faced by everyday commuters and drivers.
Several oil companies have announced their new rates. Starting at 6:00 a.m., major gasoline stations like Shell, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, and Caltex will implement higher prices: diesel will go up by P1.10 per liter, gasoline by P0.40, and kerosene by P0.70.

Cleanfuel will also adjust its prices, but a bit later at 4:01 p.m. on the same day. However, Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz do not sell kerosene, so the increase applies only to diesel and gasoline for them.
ThE increase follows last week’s price jump, where diesel went up by P1.40 per liter, gasoline by P0.70, and kerosene by P0.80. With this week’s adjustment, fuel prices continue to climb, and many Filipinos are starting to feel the impact on their daily budgets.
As of mid-July, the Department of Energy has reported that gasoline prices have gone up by a total of P9.00 per liter for the year, diesel by P11.35, and kerosene by P1.85.

The continuous increase in prices is linked to several global developments. Experts say that stronger oil demand in the coming months, ongoing concerns about supply disruptions in the Middle East, and uncertainty around global trade are all affecting oil markets.
While some fuel companies have already confirmed their new prices, others have yet to release their announcements.
As of this writing, motorists are advised to plan their fuel spending wisely as prices continue to go up.
