MMFF 2025 – First Four Official Entries Finally Announced

These are the four official entries of MMFF 2025, its 51st edition.

MMFF 2025 – Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre, Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, and Ivana Alawi are all part of this year’s film festival.

They are among the stars who are going to have a film in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival with a theme, “MMFF 51: A New Era for Philippine Cinema.” The grand launch was held on Tuesday in Makati City, in the Glorietta Mall Activity Center.

To recall, Vice Ganda‘s film And The Breadwinner Is… was the top-grosser of the 50th MMFF, while Nadine was part of Uninvited, also an official entry last year. This year, Vice and Nadine are going to star in “Call Me Mother.”

Piolo, on the other hand, has starred in The Kingdom last year with Vic Sotto, and is slated to return in the 2025 film festival with a movie called “Manila’s Finest.”

    • Starring: Piolo Pascual
    • Producer: Cignal TV inc Director: Ray Red
  • SHAKE, RATTLE, AND ROLL: EVIL ORIGINS
    • Starring: Francine Diaz, Janice De Belen, Manilyn Reynes, Ivana Alawi, Loisa Andalio, Ashley Ortega, Ysabelle Ortega, Carla Abellana, Elijah Alejo, Fyang Smith, Kaila Estrada, Richard Guterrez, Ryan Bang, Seth Fedelin, JM Ibarra, Dustin Yu
    • Producer: Regal Entertainment Inc.
    • Director: Shugo Prayco, Joey De Guzman, lan Lorenos

The annual film showing starts on December 25. The other key dates include Parade of the Stars on December 19 and the MMFF 2025 Gabi ng Parangal on December 27. The final batch of entries will be announced on September 30.

In the past two years, there have been 10 official entries as part of the film festival.
