Lolit Solis died at the age of 78
Veteran entertainment writer Lolit Solis passed away, and this was confirmed by actor Nino Muhlach through his Facebook post.
Lolit was one of the most prominent showbiz personalities in the Philippines, who was known for her fierce write-ups. In the history of Philippine showbiz, her “take it, take it” moment has become a pop icon. It was the scam she admitted that she plotted during the Manila Film Festival in 1994.
Despite that major controversy in her life, Lolit found her redemption and continued being a showbiz writer while managing some artists.

Amid her battle against her illness, Lolit Solis continued to share write-ups on her Instagram page and her columns in Pang-Masa and Pilipino Star Ngayon.
She revealed in August last year that she had to undergo dialysis twice a week, and she had to do that for the rest of her life. Lolit receives support from many showbiz personalities. She would even boast about this on her Instagram page.
Early this year, she shared that she had a big health scare when she had a mild stroke right after a dialysis session. She was able to bounce back after that.
On July 4, the sad news circulated online. Nino Muhlach shared a post on his Facebook page announcing the death of the veteran showbiz writer. “Paalam Nanay Lolit Solis,” he simply wrote in the caption of his post.
After that, several showbiz personalities who were close to Lolit shared their heartwarming messages as they also mourned the death of someone who became a big part of their lives.
Meanwhile, a day before this, Lolit shared a post on her Instagram page talking about her anxiety attack as she was battling her disease. However, amid the hardship, she expressed gratitude to everyone who had helped her, especially those who were in the medical field.
