STEM Student Experiences Fear and Anxiety After Hearing Cracking Sounds in School BuildingĀ
A STEM student from Palawan National School continues to experience fear and anxiety after a frightening incident inside a school building during class hours.
The student was among those who reportedly heard unusual cracking sounds coming from the structure while classes were ongoing on June 30, 2026. The normal school day quickly turned into a stressful experience for many students who were inside the building at the time.
According to the student, the disturbing sounds could be heard throughout their classroom, causing concern among classmates and teachers. As the noises continued, students became increasingly worried about their safety.

When the classroom lights were turned on, they noticed a visible line on the ceiling, which added to their fears and raised questions about the condition of the building.
Although no injuries were reported, the incident left a lasting impact on some students. The STEM student shared that the experience was alarming and remains difficult to forget. Even days after the incident, the student still feels uneasy whenever thinking about what happened inside the classroom.
The student expressed disappointment over claims suggesting that the issue may have been exaggerated or fabricated to temporarily suspend classes. The remarks have reportedly made those who personally witnessed the event and experienced fear during the incident.

The student also appealed to school officials and structural engineers who are currently assessing the building. The request was for a thorough and careful inspection, not only of the exterior portions of the structure but also of the areas inside the building where students spend most of their time.
