Authorities Arrest 3 Individuals for Allegedly Stealing Copper Tubes from Church
3 individuals were arrested for allegedly stealing copper tubes from a church in Barangay Bungad, Quezon City.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the police authorities arrested three individuals after they were caught on CCTV allegedly stealing copper tubes from the air-conditioning units of a church in Quezon City.
In the CCTV footage, the three men were seen unloading copper tubes from a tricycle. They placed them by the roadside and started stripping off the outer layer. Later, another video showed one of the men taking the copper tubes directly from the air-conditioning units inside the church compound.

According to the police, the church employee saw the live CCTV footage on their phone around 2 AM and immediately called the 911 hotline. The police responded quickly, and with the help of the barangay officials, they were able to catch the suspects within just two minutes.
The arrested men were 34, 26, and 24 years old. Authorities also recovered the tricycle used in the crime, but the stolen copper tubes were no longer found. The police are still investigating the total value of the stolen items and checking if the suspects are part of a larger group involved in similar thefts.
It was also revealed that the suspects have previous records. One was involved in a robbery and illegal possession of firearms, while another had a past case related to illegal drugs.
Despite the evidence, the three suspects denied the accusations. One claimed he was just a driver for passengers he didn’t know. Another said he only owned the tricycle and had nothing to do with the crime. The third also denied any involvement.
All three are now under the custody of Masambong Police and are facing robbery charges.
