Is Lorin Gutierrez ready to join beauty pageants?
Famous personality Lorin Gutierrez has this to say when asked about following Ruffa Gutierrez’s footsteps in beauty pageants.
At a young age, Lorin Gutierrez Bektas already showed her potential in beauty pageants. Her height and appearance can pass the standard of a beauty queen, and this is something she surely got from her mother, Ruffa Gutierrez.
It has been 19 years already when Ruffa represented the country at the 43rd Miss World, where she had a placement. Now at 22, what does Lorin say about joining beauty pageants just like how her mother used to do?
In an interview, Lorin believed that it is a lot of girls’ dreams to become a beauty queen, and she used to be one of them. As someone who loves fashion, beauty, and anything girly, she feels like she may become a good fit. However, she realized that there are a lot of career paths she can always take.
She can always explore other paths and choose one where she can express herself and in a setting that is more comfortable for her.
“However, I realized early on that there are many different career paths I can explore, which also allow me to express myself and my interests but in a setting more comfortable for me,” she shared, and added that she doesn’t see herself being a beauty queen.
Her interests just don’t align with it.
“My mom gave an iconic performance, and that was her journey, but it is not mine. he was far braver than I could ever be for taking that leap and I will forever admire her for it,” she explained. Lorin also admitted that she is a bit shy and doesn’t feel drawn to pageantry.
Lorin, meanwhile, is taking up an Advertising course at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. This is her focus for now, and in 2026, she will be graduating from university and is excited about it. She is grateful for the opportunities, and once she’s done with school, she wants to step out of her comfort zone and say yes to everything that God will send her way.
