McCoy De Leon Thought “Batang Quiapo” Is Going To Be His Last Project

In a lengthy post, McCoy De Leon shares his thoughts after doing his role in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”

David Dimaguiba is the character of McCoy De Leon in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” and here are his thoughts after playing this role in the series.

In a previous article, actor Jake Cuenca spoke good words about McCoy de Leon, who played David Dimaguiba in the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” According to him, he had set the bar high in being the series’ antagonist, which made him study his character in order to make a difference when he plays Miguelito Guerrero.

The episode where David was killed earned 673,931 peak concurrent viewers. It marked the end of his character’s journey and his redemption.

Now, as he signed off as David, he expressed his thoughts and realizations regarding his journey and about the project he thought would be his last. With this thought in mind, he decided to put all of his talent and passion into this project. He did it not just for the sake of being an actor, but also as someone who loves this craft.

He is grateful to those he has worked with on the set and the people he was with during line discussions and in the moments they shared when they got no sleep, were tired, shared stories with each other, and even the moments when they would get scolded.

De Leon is also grateful to the artists and the directors, and to those who guided him. He is a witness to how these people work hard to deliver a quality storyline, as he has been with them ever since the program started. He was with them for two and a half years, and in this amount of time, a lot has happened that strengthened the bond.

For Coco Martin, the director and lead star of the series, he is grateful for the opportunity he was entrusted with.

In this journey, what helped him to do his best always is to carry the thought that it is going to be his last project. This thought helped him through and motivated him to do more and better, and he is hopeful to do another “last project” in the future.
