Alleged White Lady Brings Scare Online After Spotted Roaming Streets of BacolodÂ
A mysterious figure resembling a so-called white lady was spotted roaming the streets of Bacolod City in Negros Occidental.
A White Lady is a common figure in Filipino folklore and ghost stories. She is usually described as a ghost of a woman wearing a long white dress with long hair covering her face. In many stories, she appears in quiet or dark places like old buildings, schools, roads, or forests especially at night.
Recently, the residents of Bacolod City were left uneasy after an alleged white was seen walking along Lacson Street in Barangay Mandalagan around 3:00 a.m. The scene garnered various reactions from the online community.
The figure, described as a man with long hair wearing a white dress, was walking barefoot and appeared to be covering his face with his hair. His unusual appearance and the timing of his presence caused fear and confusion among some locals who witnessed the strange sight.
The man was spotted by a local news team on a quiet road northbound in the early hours of the morning and many believed he must have had mental health problems as he was acting suspiciously and moving in a way that was perceived as threatening or scary others on the road, police said.
The Bacolod Police Station 3 responded well to the alarm calls. Officers arrived at the scene within three minutes after receiving a complaint. They closely followed the man to monitor his movements and were prepared to handle any situation if he got aggressive or in any danger to those around.
Thankfully no harm was intended, but the unusual encounter has left many Bacolod residents confused. Some were scared, others just wanted answers to what they saw at around 5am yesterday morning.
The public are urged to remain calm and report any unusual activity immediately so that proper help can be provided to anyone who may need assistance or medical attention, the authorities said.
