Viral Taxi Driver In NAIA Operator May Face Charges Due To Colorum Vehicles

Taxihub Transport, operator of viral taxi driver in NAIA, has colorum vehicles.

VIRAL TAXI DRIVER IN NAIA – Authorities discovered that the firm operating the taxi has been operating illegally.

Transportation Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon has already ordered the revocation of the license of the overcharging taxi driver and the franchise of the firm operating the taxi.

This is after a video of the driver involved circulated online and gained notoriety when he overcharged a passenger. From Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, his charge was Php 1,260.00.

Following further investigation, authorities also discovered that the firm, Taxihub Transport, has an expired provisional authority, and despite the expiration, it still continued to function, and allowed its vehicles to go out and ply the road.

Taxihub Transport is owned by a certain Paige Pauline Bersamina. During a press briefing, Dizon expressed, “Makakasuhang kayo ngayon. Kasi pinayagan niyong lumabas at mamasada ang isang taxi na wala na palang prangkisa.”

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is set to issue a show cause order to the said owner. There are 15 taxis under the operator operating with expired provisional authority since March 2025.

“All of them, the Taxihub Transport will face charges for allowing colorum units to operate,” Dizon underscored.

According to LTO, a revoked non-professional driver’s license (NPDL) means that the holder will be disqualified from being granted a license for two years from the date of the revocation. A revoked professional driver’s license (PDL) means that the holder is “perpetually disqualified from getting another license.”
