Imee Marcos Hits Martin Romualdez Anew? — “Inubos bilyon-bilyon sa ayuda at pamimili ng boto”

Sen. Imee Marcos Speaks Against “Romualdez, Araneta” in Front of Filipinos in Malaysia

IMEE MARCOS – The presidential sister and Senator seemingly hit House Speaker Martin Romualdez as well as First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos anew.

Previously, Sen. Marcos claimed that the government now is not allegedly led by her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, but House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. It hooked the attention of countless Filipinos who saw the presidential sister siding with the Duterte family in the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Sen. Imee Marcos also left the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago senatorial slate which was endorsed by PBBM following Duterte’s controversial arrest. According to her, the actions of the government do not align with her principles and ideals in life.

The Presidential Sister was endorsed by Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in the 2025 Midterm Elections. She won the senatorial elections clinching on the 12th spot. After the polls, she flew to The Hague with the Vice President.

After The Hague, Sen. Marcos also joined a PH Independence Day celebration of the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with Vice Pres. Duterte and another known Duterte ally in the Senate, Sen. Robin Padilla.

At the event, Sen. Imee Marcos did not only boast how “brave” she and Sen. Robin Padilla are in the Senate. The Presidential Sister also seemingly took swipe against House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos anew.

Based on a post of Facebook netizen Jocelyn Macalisang, the Presidential Sister claimed that she also feels bad on where the government money is allegedly going. According to her, it is spent on financial assistance for election purposes.

“Maraming salamat po pero tamang-tama ‘yung sinasabi. Ako na ang magsasabi masama man ang loob ko, masama man ang loob ninyo, kahit kapatid ko ang nakalukluk sa poder, ang totoo sayang ang pinagastusan ng ating bansa,” Marcos said.

Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that the government allegedly spent billions for the cash assistance. Based on the post, she also claimed that Romualdez and Araneta are allegedly the “Lulong and Lalay” — names of crocodiles.

“Inubos bilyon-bilyon sa ayuda at pamimili ng boto. Sabihin na nating ang totoo… Inaaway na naman ako ni VP, parating sinasabi, ‘Palitan mo na kasi ‘yung apelyido mo’. Eh sabi ko, ‘ang problema ‘yung nakaupo walang apelyido kasi tambaloslos. Romualdez po ‘yun at Araneta, sila ‘yung lulong at lalay. Masakit man aminin, ‘yan ang katotohanan,” the Senator said.

At the said event, Sen. Imee Marcos also revealed why she and Sen. Robin Padilla did not wear their impeachment robes during the convention of the Senate impeachment court. There were only three (3) of them who ditched the wearing of the robe including Sen. Cynthia Villar, another known ally of the Dutertes.
