PAGASA Says Fair Weather Expected Over Most Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that fair weather will prevail over most parts of the country.
On Monday (June 2, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Daniel James Villamil reported that cloud clusters over the West Philippine Sea are associated with the southwest monsoon and will bring rain to the western parts of Northern and Central Luzon.

“Meanwhile, the western part of Southern Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers, thunderstorms, and lightning, also brought by the southwest monsoon today,” Villamil said.
Monsoon rains with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains are expected over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, and Bataan.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cavite, Batangas, Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms will affect Visayas and Mindanao. Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
The weather agency has declared the start of the habagat season, indicating the start of the rainy season in the country.
No low-pressure area or weather disturbances were detected within or outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions is expected over the remaining parts of the country.
PAGASA did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
