Actor/DJ Julian Estrada, the son of Senator Jinggoy Estrada, clarified that the Boracay incident was an “unprovoked attack.”

On May 24, 2025, Saturday, reports surfaced that a son of Sen. Jinggoy was assaulted while they were in Boracay. It was later confirmed that it was Julian, along with the senator’s nephew, Jefferly Vitug.

Speaking about the incident, the lawmaker said that the suspects just suddenly attacked his son and nephew without any reason when they were about to go back to the location of their accommodation.

Julian Estrada and Jefferly Vitug already filed a complaint against the three suspects. Sen. Jinggoy said that he hoped justice would be served for his son and nephew.

After the incident, Julian shared a post on his Instagram Story clarifying that the attack against him was unprovoked. He included in the post his photo showing the bruise under his eye.

To set the record straight.. there was no fight. It was an unprovoked attack,” the actor clarified. He explained that he and Jelo were already walking away from a peaceful night and were heading home when one of the suspects approached them and said a few words.

After that, the suspect allegedly threw the first punch. “What followed wasn’t a scuffle, it was a group jumping, and yet people online were so quick to say, ‘deserved,'” Julian said. He apparently saw comments on social media saying that it was good for him to be in that situation.

The actor also said that some people twisted the story even though they were not there when the incident happened. He also stressed that what happened was not a bar fight and they weren’t looking for trouble.

Julian encouraged the public not to speak on someone else’s pain before knowing the truth. The actor also expressed gratitude to everyone who checked on him after the incident. He said that the support he got will not go unnoticed.

I’m taking time to rest and move forward. That’s all there is to it,” Julian Estrada said.
