Actress Maja Salvador revealed the reason why she and Rambo Nunez are so private when it comes to their daughter, Maria.
Maja Salvador and her husband, businessman Rambo Nunez, got married in 2023. They got engaged in April 2022 and had their prenup shoot in Egypt. Maja and Rambo’s wedding was held at Indonesia’s luxury resort called Apurva Kempinski Bali.
In 2024, Maja gave birth to a baby girl, and according to her, she had an “intense 30-hour labor, 12 hours without epidural, 3 hours of pushing” experience, which led to her ending up with an episiotomy and forceps. They welcomed Maria after 2 contractions and 7 pushes.
However, despite having her baptized and with Maria turning one year old soon, the married couple has not revealed her face yet. Previously, she expressed that she doesn’t know when this would happen, and she also felt protective of her daughter since there are now a lot of risks online. She also avoids receiving criticism online.
“Inosente yung mga bata tapos iba-bash nila. Hindi ko na lang ise-share kung iba-bash lang naman nila,” she added.
Recently, in an interview, her perspective about protecting her child’s seemed to have changed. According to her, there are offers for their daughter, but they all refused them. What they want is to give Maria the chance to choose how she wants to be introduced to the public.
“Kasi, parang gusto kong ibigay sa kanya yung freedom talaga kung papano niya gustong makilala ng tao. Gusto ba niya? Yung ganun. Kesa yung i-post ko siya,” she said.
They want to avoid their child being overexposed to the public. For them, once they had already posted her photo, it would give people the impression that they can do whatever they want, while her innocent child is left clueless about what is happening.
“Hilahin yung bata, magpa-picture, alam niyo yun, pisilin yung pisngi na parang… they don’t have any idea bakit sila ginaganun. Na kilala pala sila. Iyon yung iniiwasan namin,” Maja added.
