COMELEC Officially Proclaims Winners of 2025 Senatorial Election

Senate Magic 12 Proclamation Set By Comelec Today — Earliest in Poll History

COMELEC – The Commission on Elections started the official proclamation of the 2025 Senatorial Election winners.

Last May 12, millions of Filipinos exercised their right to vote in the 2025 Midterm Elections. The poll included a senatorial election that gathered candidates from the different slates and political parties.

On the eve of the Election Day, Senator Christopher “Bong Go” took the lead. He was followed by former Sen. Bam Aquino who remained on the second spot of the Senatorial Election result until the COMELEC has finished the canvassing of votes.

Aquino’s victory in the 2025 elections took the social media platforms by storm. Countless people also rejoiced over the standing of returning Sen. Kiko Pangilinan who placed 5th in the senatorial election results.

The Commission on Elections previously committed to finish the canvassing of votes early so the proclamation can be held today. Indeed, the COMELEC is setting a history today as it proclaims the Senate Magic 12. This is the earliest proclamation in the history of the poll body.

Based on a report on Inquirer, the COMELEC held the proclamation of the Senatorial Election winners at the Manila Hotel Tent City. The 12th senatorial candidate, Sen. Imee Marcos, was proclaimed on the stage first.

The senatorial race’s frontrunner, Sen. Bong Go, was the last to climb the stage and be proclaimed. Based on the report, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan was not able to attend the proclamation ceremony as he is traveling to the United States for the graduation of his daughter, Frankie.

Six (6) candidates from the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago endorsed by the Marcos administration secured seats in the Senate. Previously, Pres. Bongbong Marcos thanked the Filipinos for voting in the 2025 Elections. He also thanked the Alyansa supporters and assured that even if not all the bets of the grand alliance made it to the Top 12, their work and mission continue.
