Pres. Bongbong Marcos Issues Statement after May 2025 Elections Over
BONGBONG MARCOS – Following the May 2025 Elections, the President expressed his gratitude to the Filipino people for voting.
Millions of Filipinos went out to vote for the candidates they support yesterday during the May 2025 Midterm Elections. Both local and national elections were held and it was declared a special non-working day in the country.

In the May 2025 Elections, Pres. Bongbong Marcos supports the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago which he called his “dream team”. According to the Chief Executive, all the senatorial candidates under the grand alliance have an experience in public service.
Marcos Jr. even said that he will be a lucky president if all the senatorial candidates of the Alyansa will win. However, ahead of the 2025 Midterm Elections, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos left the grand alliance.

Sen. Imee Marcos’ departure from the team is due to the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to her, the actions of the government over Duterte’s arrest and his transfer to The Hague, Netherlands do not match her ideals and principles in life.

Now that the May 2025 Elections is over, Pres. Bongbong Marcos released a statement to thank the Filipino people for voting. In a statement posted on social media, the President said the people has once again renewed the democracy in the country. According to him, the Filipinos have elected people who will listen and act on issues like corruption, inflation, and employment.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also thanked the Filipinos who supported his Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago. According to the Chief Executive, although their team was not able to win every seat, their work and mission continue.
