Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, presumptive Sen. Tito Sotto claimed three to four people are allegedly convincing him to become the Senate President of the 20th Congress. He also claimed that the peers of these people are ready to support him.
“Yes, yes. I would be lying if I said no. May mga kumakausap sa akin… Mga tatlo, apat kausap ko. Ganoon lang. And they’re saying that their peers are ready to support me. Sabi ko naman, if we have 13, I will accept,” he said.
Former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto was the chief of the upper chamber from May 2018 until the end of his second term as senator in June 2022. Currently, the chamber’s chief is Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero who reacted to the remarks of Sotto over the Senate presidency.
