Ethan David of rookie P-pop group GAT makes a clarification after receiving hate and spreading false narratives about him.
In the past weeks, a video of BINIs Jhoanna Robles, Colet Vergara, and Stacey Sevilleja with GAT’s Ethan David and internet personality Shawn Castro surfaced online. It immediately went viral, and was heavily bashed because of the sensitive content included in the viral clip.

In the controversial video, conversation as heard was:
Stacey: Ganiyan ginagawa niya kay ashley (?)
Colet: Oo. 13 years old.
Stacey: Sinasabunutan.
Jhoanna: Ahhh 13 years old
Also, it was seen that Shawn and Ethan were doing an inappropriate act in front of BINI Jhoanna. BINI released an official statement regarding the issue.
While the issue is still lurking online, false narratives and significant hate comments and accusations still continue to emerge, thrown at the said GAT’s member. It has become immense that prompting him to release another statement for clarification.
According to him, he has never been involved in any inappropriate relationship with a minor, and firmly underscored that he has “always been firmly against” grooming. In the same statement, he explained some controversial points which he deemed as a “misunderstanding.”
“To clarify the confusion surrounding the video, the joking comments heard in the video led to a misunderstanding that I was grooming a 13-year-old. In reality, I was the 13-year-old being referred to,” he clarified and added, “The situation being discussed dates back to a time when I was a young teenager experiencing innocent puppy love during my time in Canada.”
