Netizens slammed senatorial candidate Willie Revillame because of his “attitude” during a motorcade for his political campaign.

Willie decided to run for senator after several push and pull with his political plan. Years ago, he expressed that he had no intentions to be in a political arena even though he conversation with former President Rodrigo Duterte about this.

In 2023, he said in a statement that he was setting aside politics. Last year, he even mentioned that he lost his interest in politics but this changed when the final day for the submission of the certificate of candidacy happened.

Willie Revillame filed his COC for senator which garnered various reactions. Although his supporters rallied behind him, many people criticized him. In a statement early last month, Willie has fiery words against the bashers of celebrities who are also in politics.

Just recently, Willie once again received criticism from netizens. It was because of a video clip showing how he acted while giving away jackets during a motorcade.

Facebook user Gennievie Pasion shared this video clip with the caption, “HB (high blood) si Koya Will mukang hindi nya gusto ginagawa nya.” In the video, Willie’s facial expression was noticeable and he looked unhappy. He gestured for someone to get off and then, threw a jacket in the other direction.

This was shared by talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz on his Facebook page. In the caption of his post, he reminded politicians to be aware of their behavior during campaign events, especially when cameras are on them.

“Hindi dapat pinapairal ang init ng ulo. Alam naman nating mainit na ang panahon, kaya pasensiya ang dapat pahabain. Paano tayo iboboto nyan kung nakakalimutan nating ngumiti man lang kahit hindi na magbigay ng jacket?” Ogie said.

Then, the talent manager-vlogger stressed that not because Willie is used to reprimanding his staff on air, he would also do this to the public. To recall, the senatorial candidate went viral when he called out his staff in his show while they were on-air.

Ogie also reminded Willie that as a candidate, he is pursuing people’s votes in order for him to win. Pass na muna sa, “Eh sa ganito ugali ko, eh. Nagpapakatotoo lang ako.” Jacket lang ang ipinamimigay, hindi naman titulo ng house and lot. So hindi dapat ganyan ang attitude,” he stressed about this video of Willie Revillame.
