Gardo Versoza shared the same frame with Cherie Gil and Nora Aunor
Character actor Gardo Versoza shared this throwback photo with the late actresses Cherie Gil and Nora Aunor.
Cherie passed away in August 2022. She was known as the “La Primera Contravida” in the Philippine entertainment industry because of how she portrayed well her antagonist roles. For many years, she struggled with endoimetrial cancer.
On April 16, Nora’s death was confiremd by her son actor Ian de Leon. The Superstar and National Artist for Film had an angioplasty procedure. Unfortunately, weeks after this, she was rushed to the hospital again. Based on reports, she died because of acute respiratory failure.
Both actresses left remarkable projects in the entertainment industry. Their legacy will always be remembered. When they passed away, the entertainment industry mourned and reminisced their contributions.
Gardo Verzosa was one of the celebrities who had the chance to work with Cherie Gil and Nora Aunor. There was a project when the three of them were cast members.
It was in the Kapuso series Onanay which aired in August 2018 until March 2019, starring Jo Berry, based on the article in PEP. Gardo shared a screenshot of one of the scenes that featured him, Cherie, and Nora.
He shared this on his Facebook page with the caption, “mukhang ako na ang next ah [face screaming in fear emojis].” As of this writing, this post already received more than eight thousand laugh reactions, 300 comments, and almost a thousand shares.
In the comment section of his post, Gardo received amused comments from netizens. “Mabubuhay ka nman pag gabi machete ka eh,” a netizen commented referring to his character in a movie. Some netizens wished that would not happen any soon and that they are praying for him. “Wag naman sana. Live longer pa Sir Gardo,” a netizen commented.
