PAGASA Says LPA and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Friday (March 28, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and the easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that a low pressure area and easterlies will bring cloudy skies with rain showers over parts of the Philippines. It is expected to dissipate over the weekend.

The LPA was last spotted 95 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Catanduanes.

Inaasahan natin na itong LPA ay magdadala ng ulan partikular na sa may Caraga, Eastern Visayas at ilang bahagi ng Bicol Region,” Badrina said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any parts of the country.
