FPRRD’s Daughter Kitty Duterte Pens Heartfelt Message for Former President
KITTY DUTERTE – The youngest daughter of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte penned a heartfelt message for her father who was recently arrested.
The arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte upon his arrival from Hong Kong yesterday is something that many people did not see coming. The former President was arrested following an alleged warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court.
Also popularly known as the ICC, the International Criminal Court was long known to be investigating the war on drugs of the Duterte administration. The former President, during a previous House Quad Committee hearing, told the ICC to hurry up and investigate him as he might die without being probed.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte also said he is not impressed by the capabilities of the ICC which he described as a court that has allegedly not sent any criminal to jail. However, the unexpected turn of events yesterday caught many Filipinos off guard.
Following his arrest at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) which was implemented by the Philippine National Police (PNP), Duterte was detained for several hours. His daughter, Kitty Duterte, tagged it as an alleged “illegal detention” claiming there was no warrant of arrest.
At night, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte said her dad, Rodrigo, was “forcibly taken to The Hague” in the Netherlands. Three (3) people were allowed to go with the former President and he went with a lawyer, his special assistant, and a nurse.
Recently, on social media, Kitty Duterte posted a heartfelt message for former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. In an Instagram post, the former president’s youngest daughter said she will forever walk with pride knowing that she is his daughter and she is a Duterte.
Kitty also assured the former President that the strength he raised her with will never be tamed and she will stand by the promise she made. Here’s her Instagram post:
Previously, at NAIA, the mother of Kitty Duterte, Honeylet Avanceña, was heard in a video clip convincing former Pres. Duterte not to go with the authorities citing the alleged absence of a warrant of arrest. She and Kitty tried to stop the authorities from taking the former President to bring him to The Hague.
