Currently, Pope Francis’ clinical condition remains “stable” but his prognosis remains “guarded”. The Pope had done some work activities and he has even given an audio message expressing his gratitude to the people in Vatican for the prayers for him.

Recently, some experts spoke on the condition of Pope Francis who remains in the battle against double pneumonia. He is confined in a special papal suite in Gemelli hospital in Rome, Italy.

Based on a report on GMA News, medical experts who are not involved in the care of the Pope said that the road to recovery has a huge chance to be long and there can be a lot of risks.

According to International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Secretary General and Professor Christoph Lange, they have seen patients of the same case spend months in hospital. Based on the report, he stressed that rest is really vital.

“Of course he can recover, but the chances for a negative outcome are high. The best advice would be to let him rest, let him take whatever time he needs to get well again,” he said.

Previously, there were claims that Pope Francis had a clash with his cardinals three (3) days before he was hospitalized.
