Vice Ganda Leads List Of Quezon City Top Taxpayers

Vice Ganda and other celebrities are among the Top Taxpayers of Quezon City.

Quezon City names Vice Ganda and other famous celebrities as the Top Taxpayers by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Part of being a responsible Filipino is paying your taxes properly. There are several reasons why everyone must pay their taxes. One, taxes are the main source of income for the government. The taxes go to public services like healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social programs.

Other reasons include economic growth, social services, national security, public safety, legal obligation, and others that contribute to the country’s development. Recently, The Top Taxpayers was named in Quezon City by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Topping the list is Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda, who also held a ceremonial filing of Income Tax Return at a mall as part of the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s tax campaign kickoff.

On Facebook, the comedian superstar expressed his thoughts about taxes and he wrote, “Pagkatapos natin magbayad ng buwis, tayo naman ang magtatanong ‘saan na po ang binayad nating buwis?'”

He also expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reminded people about their obligation to pay their taxes and to ask where their taxes go.

Other celebrities who were also named as Top Taxpayers are Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, performer-host Darren Espanto, ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu, veteran actor Albert Martinez, Kapuso couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo, actor Allen Dizon, actress-vlogger Julia Barretto, singer Jason Dy, and heartthrob Daniel Padilla.

Other recognized Top Taxpayers who were not able to attend are superstars Kathryn Bernardo, Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon.

Taxes are also for fair contribution to allow the people to benefit from public services. This is an essential part to ensure that all citizens help maintain and improve the country.
