SB19 is now on their “Simula at Wakas” era
P-Pop Kings SB19 officially began the third installment for their trilogy, the Simula at Wakas EP with the release of their DAM single and music video.
The quintet started their trilogy with the Pagsibol EP released in 2021. It was composed of six songs featuring different genres. In 2023, they released the second installment, the Pagtatag EP, in which the viral song Gento belonged.
From their humble beginning, trying their best to introduce P-pop to Filipinos and aim for its global recognition. The all-male group is tagged as the ones who paved the way for P-pop’s global domination.
With their talent, humility, and vision for the Philippine music industry, they got the full support from their fandom called A’TIN.
SB19 has been receiving recognition and awards here in the Philippines and abroad. Their journey has become an inspiration to many younger P-pop groups. Over the years, they worked with prominent names in the music industry.
The P-pop Kings continue to cross boundaries and their fans have been anticipating their comeback. On February 28, 2025, the group released their single for their third EP.
At 12 midnight on Friday, DAM was released on all music streaming platforms and the music video was scheduled to be released at 12 noon on the same day.
Before the MV release, the quintet had a social media live to share their thoughts on their concept and their plans for their new EP. Pablo, their leader, said that their concept is ambitious and that songs in the EP will bring the listeners to a different world.
Justin, the youngest member, said that their preparations for this are harder than what they have done before. For Josh, the main rapper, they were both mentally and physically challenged by the Simula at Wakas.
Stell, the main vocalist, shared that they had a difficult time choosing the title track and what could be included in this EP because the songs are really good.
