On the popular YouTube channel Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update, Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado set the record straight regarding rumors of undergoing cosmetic surgery on her face.
In the entertainment industry, an actor’s face is a crucial asset, prompting many to seek specialists for cosmetic enhancements. Some celebrities have been transparent about their procedures, like Heart Evangelista, who has openly admitted to having lip enhancement. Meanwhile, others, like Julie Anne San Jose, have faced speculation about facial procedures but have denied such claims.
Jennylyn Mercado is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful faces in Philippine showbiz. Since her StarStruck days, fans have admired her delicate and natural beauty. Addressing the rumors, Jennylyn confidently stated in her interview with Ogie Diaz that she has never undergone any cosmetic surgery.
“Wala naman, Mama Ogz. Hanapin mo, walang tahi ‘yan,” she affirmed, proudly embracing her natural look.
When asked about the secret to her beauty, Jennylyn candidly shared a simple yet humorous insight. “’Di ko lang pinapakita ‘yung mga face ko na malalaki. ‘Yun ang sikreto. ‘Wag kang mag-picture ‘pag malaki ka. Like no’ng nanganak ako, ‘yun ‘yung biggest ko. 50, 60 [kilos].”
Her husband, actor Dennis Trillo, also chimed in with a fun revelation about her eating habits. “Kahit ganyan ‘yung katawan n’ya, napalakas n’ya kumain lalo na sa mga sweets,” he said.
Dennis also credited Jennylyn’s fast metabolism and dedication to fitness for maintaining her slim and toned figure. “Saka napupunta sa tamang lugar ‘yung mga kinakain n’ya…[Sa balakang, hita, pwet.]” he joked.
Fans of Jennylyn and Dennis can look forward to seeing them together on the big screen in their latest rom-com film, Everything About My Wife, alongside Sam Milby. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on February 26.
