PNP – CIDG Speaks on Complaints Filed against Ex-Pres. Duterte amid “Kill” Remark Issue
CIDG – The police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group denied that Malacañang is involved in the complaints against former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
The remark of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte at the PDP-Laban’s proclamation rally gained different reactions from the public. The former Chief Executive expressed about eliminating 15 senators so their posts would be vacant.

According to Duterte, it is the way so the senatorial bets of the PDP-Laban can occupy their posts. The political party endorses the senatorial bids of the following candidates:
- Senator Christopher “Bong” Go
- Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa
- Pastor Apollo Quiboloy
- ex-presidential adviser for Northern Luzon Raul Lambino
- SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta
- former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez
- former Interior Undersecretary Jayvee Hinlo
- musician and lawyer Jimmy Bondoc
- actor Philip Salvador

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte were also present at the PDP-Laban proclamation rally where their father made the “kill” remark against 15 senators. Sen. Bato dela Rosa defended Duterte over his controversial remark tagging it as a joke.

Amid the issue, police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG chief Nicolas Torre filed inciting to sedition and unlawful utterances complaints against former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He stressed that the action of the former President when he issues statements and call it a joke afterwards should not anymore be allowed.
Recently, CIDG chief Police Major General Nicolas Torre III clarified that Malacañang is not involved in the complaints that the PNP-CIDG has filed against former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on GMA News, he stressed that the move is pure law enforcement.
“Wala naman, eh. I don’t think that Malacañang should get involved in this dahil ito naman ay pure law enforcement. Ang pulis ay law enforcers. So may nakikita tayong violation of law,” Torre said.
Aside from Sen. Bato dela Rosa, another close ally of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Atty. Salvador Panelo, also defended him over his “kill” remark.
