Coco Martin was asked about politics
Kapamillya primetime action King Coco Martin asserted that he has no plans to enter politics.
Coco found success in the entertainment industry as one of the action stars of his generation. For many years, he has been reigning in the primetime slot with his action-drama series.
With his popularity, some fans are urging him to enter politics. It is a normal scenario in the Philippines that celebrities or showbiz personalities would crossover to the political arena.

However, in a recent interview, Coco Martin stressed that he does not aspire to be a politician, based on the article in Inquirer.
The actor is aware that there are some people who are expecting him to run for a government position.
“Honestly, matagal na matagal na ‘yan. Almost every election, lagi akong tatanungin niyan. Paulit-ulit kong sinasabi na honestly, wala akong interes kasi nakikita ko [kung] gaano kahirap,” Coco said.
Even though there are decent politicians, Coco stressed that he does not see himself as a public servant because he can still help other Filipinos in his own way. For him, this is already enough.
“Kaysa ang gawin ko is [ilagay] ko ang sarili ko d’un and after that, iba-iba ang intensyon ng tao eh — kung maa-appreciate nila or sirain ka nila,” he added.

Coco Martin simply wanted to have a quiet life and focus on his career, not just as an actor but also as a director.
Meanwhile, Coco is having his TV reunion with his long-term partner. actress Julia Montes, through the upcoming Kapamilya series Sigabo.
Previously, Coco revealed the reason why he and Julia call each other “tatay” and “nanay.” He also disclosed that he first courted the actress when she was just 13 years old, but at that time, she rejected him.
