Man Arrested After Allegedly Stealing a Woman’s Motorcycle While She Was Just Buying from a Pharmacy
A man in Sta. Cruz, Manila was arrested after allegedly stealing a motorcycle parked outside a pharmacy on Fugoso Street.
According to the police, the 19-year-old female victim had parked her motorcycle to buy some items from the pharmacy, accidentally leaving the keys in the ignition.
When she returned, she was shocked to see the suspect already riding her motorcycle, ready to flee. The victim quickly shouted for help, catching the attention of officers from the Alvarez Police Community Precinct, who were nearby conducting an anti-criminality campaign.
Six police officers immediately responded, chasing the suspect. They managed to recover the stolen motorcycle, but the suspect attempted to escape on foot. The chase lasted about five minutes and ended on P. Guevarra Street, where the suspect was cornered by the police with the help of local residents.
