Barbie Forteza talked about her upcoming project
Kapuso primetime princess Barbie Forteza shared in a recent interview her first impression of Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Barbie is busy with her upcoming series, Honor Thy Mother, in which she has the chance to work with the Megastar.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, during the story conference for the series, Barbie described and revealed her first impression of her co-lead star, Sharon.
The Kapuso primetime princess said that they haven’t started their taping yet. “Pero kahit dalawang beses pa lang kaming nagkasama nang matagal, naramdaman ko na agad ‘yung warmth niya bilang isang tao. Napakalaking bagay nun considering na siya ang ating Megastar,” Barbie Forteza shared.
She also said that Sharon is real and there was no pretension. “Napakahalaga sa akin ‘yung fact na taong-tao siya sa lahat, mula sa pinakamababang posisyon hanggang sa pinakamataas. Taong-tao ang ating Megastar,” the younger actress said.
Barbie also said that she is proud that she made the right decision to enter showbiz, citing Sharon as one of her inspirations in her career.
Previously, the Kapuso star revealed that it was the Megastar who became her inspiration in becoming an actress.
Now, she has the chance to work with the actress whom she really admires. For Barbie, the saying “never meet your heroes” was not really applicable in this case.
“I’m very proud kasi sabi nila ‘di ba never meet your heroes kasi a lot of times you’ll be very disappointed pero ako, she just keeps proving that I’ve made the right decision to be here, to join showbiz because of her. I can’t wait to learn from her,” Barbie Forteza said.
Honor Thy Mother is the new collab series of GMA and ABS-CBN with Prime Video.
Barbie and Sharon will also be joined in the development of the series by actors Khalil Ramos, John Estrada, Mercedes Cabral, Tonton Gutierrez, and RK Bagatsing.
