PAGASA Says Easterlies and Amihan to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies and amihan will bring rain to some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (January 14, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will bring rains over some parts of the country.
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that easterlies and Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies and rains over several areas in the Visayas and Luzon.

“Inaasahan pa rin po nating makakaranas pa rin po ng patuloy na mga pag-ulan dito sa may Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, pati na rin sa Quezon dulot po ito ng northeast monsoon,” Dominguez said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Quezon.

“Inaasahan pa rin po nating makakaranas pa rin po ng patuloy na mga pag-ulan dito sa may Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, pati na rin sa Quezon dulot po ito ng northeast monsoon,” he explained.
Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. The remaining parts of the country will experience similar weather conditions due to the easterlies.
The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, a gale warning was raised over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Northern Quezon, Camarines Nort, Northern Camarines Sur, Northern and Eastern Catanduanes, Eastern Albay, Eastern Sorsogon, Northern and eastern coasts of Northern Samar and Eastern Samar.
