MAY BUKAS PA – The well-loved series along with its lead character Santino is trending online and this is the reason why.
Philippine TV series “May Bukas Pa” ran from 2009 to 2010 starring Zaijian Jaranilla who plays the lead role “Santino”. In the story, Santino is an orphan adopted by priests and he can talk to “Jesus in the flesh” whom he calls “Bro”. He also has the power to heal and this religious-themed series has made huge impacts on people, society, and culture.
Currently, the series and Santino are on the trending topic list of X, formerly Twitter. People on X have been gushing about how big this series was and how it affected them during its run. It did not fail to touch our souls and instill life lessons into the viewers.
Some have forgotten the ending of the series and some who have recalled it were in awe as to how it gathered some of the biggest stars of the industry to be featured in the ending.
Susan Roces, Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga, and many others were there and Charo Santos was even the one who played the role of Mama Mary in the series. Santino was also reunited with his biological parents played by Albert Martinez and Chin-Chin Gutierrez.
When he died, he met Mama Mary and was told that he still needed to live to continue his mission of helping the people of Bagong Pag-asa and beyond. He has lost his powers to heal which turned him into a normal kid but he lived and continued to be a beacon of hope and inspiration.
