Actor Enrique Gil Steps into Producing Films
ENRIQUE GIL – The Kapamilya actor revealed that he is set to co-produce a series with ABS-CBN in 2025 and targets another movie.
One of the most handsome men in the Philippine showbiz industry is Enrique. Also commonly called as “Quen”, he has a phenomenal loveteam with actress Liza Soberano who is his girlfriend for several years now.
Enrique and Liza make up the love team “LizQuen”. They did several movies and TV series together including the TV series Dolce Amore and the film Everyday I Love You before their career seemingly parted ways.
Liza was reported to be trying to pursue a Hollywood career. As for Enrique, he continued accepting movie projects and entered the world of filmmaking as a producer. He even has a movie entry in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF.
The “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital” which is an unscripted adaption from the 2018 South Korean film “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” is the official entry of Enrique Gil in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025.
Quen worked with Kane de Leon, Alexa Miro, Rob Gomez, MJ lastimosa, Raf Pineda, and Zarckaroo Azurin in the said horror film.
“I haven’t enjoyed as much doing projects in a long time. Something new and exciting para mabuhayan ulit fire inside me,” the actor said.
According to Enrique Gil, the film he worked on as well as his co-producers, Dondon Monteverde and Erik Matti, and the people behind the scenes brought him inspiration in filmmaking. He stressed that he is learning a lot.
“I am learning a lot, commend them for pushing the craft, newer genres, and better films for the infustry it inspired me to produce projects pushing bounderies of Philippine cinema that we know of,” Quen said.
Based on the report, Enrique Gil plans to focus in an upcoming television series in 2025 which he is set not just to star but as well as to be one of its producers. He will work with the ABS-CBN in producing the movie.
There has not been much reports about the LizQuen lately. Meanwhile, in September, Enrique Gil was spotted leaving a comment in the post of Liza Soberano.
