PAGASA Says Super Typhoon Julian to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Super Typhoon Julian will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (October 1, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Super Typhoon Julian will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that Julian has intensified into a super typhoon and was spotted 205 kilometers west of Itabayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour with gustiness of 230 kph.

Super Typhoon Julian is set to make landfall along the southwestern coast of Taiwan on Wednesday morning or afternoon (October 2). It is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by Thursday afternoon or evening (October 3).
“Julian still has a window for brief intensification in the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.

- the rest of mainland Cagayan

- the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan)
- the northern portion of Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Lupao, Pantabangan)

The super typhoon will bring stormy weather over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte. Rains with gusty winds are expected over the rest of the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Julian will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and Occidental Mindoro.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte will be very rough, according to PAGASA.
Moderate or rough seas are expected over the seaboard of mainland Cagayan and the remaining seaboard of Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, the seaboard of Isabela, and the seaboard of northern Aurora and northern Zambales.
