According to Sen. Imee Marcos, her decision to leave the admin’s senate slate is for the situation of her brother, Pres. Bongbong. She acknowledged that it would be hard to “stand alone” but she prefers it.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos reacted to the decision of his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, to withdraw her inclusion in the admin’s senatorial slate. Based on a report on Inquirer, the Chief Executive expressed acceptance and understanding of his sister’s decision.

“That’s fine. That happens. I’ve run as an independent myself, many times. And so that is her choice,” Pres. Bongbong Marcos said.

The Chief Executive further said that the decision of his sister may give her “a little bit more scope and freedom to make her own schedule and campaign in the way that she would like to do”. Meanwhile, based on the report, the President said that if the Senator decides to join their campaign sorties, she is very welcome.
