Rapper Andrew E, who rose to fame in the 90s, revealed why the whole Philippines is loyal to him.
From being a rapper, Andrew became a TV and movie star. During the height of his showbiz career, he has done many movies and TV shows. When it comes to his music career, he also released a lot of songs.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, he shared that even after 30 years, there is a certain why he remained relevant until now.
Andrew E said that it was because of his face. He pointed out that he looks so Pinoy and many can relate to this.
“Sobrang ordinaryong hitsura ko, the whole Philippines is loyal to me. They are so loyal to me. Kasi, sa mga kanta ko, feeling nila, hindi ko sila iniwan,” the rapper said. He added that as people grew older, they are still playing his songs.
With this, he said that people felt like he was their sibling, their neighbor, or their relative who grew up with them. Andrew also said that these people also introduced him to the younger generation.
“So, no’ng tumanda sila, no’ng lumaki sila, still they appreciate me. And plus, ini-introduce naman nila ako sa mga bata, ‘yong mga anak nila, mga pamangkin nila, you know,” the rapper said.
Andrew E is set to hold his first major concert on December 11, 2024. Last August, the ticket prices were already released.
Meanwhile, back in 2022, the rapper had a statement that became controversial. At that time, the reason for his longevity in showbiz is his good record. He pointed out that the reason for this was that he established a good name in the industry.
He also said that he would never become “laos” or a has-been and it is because he never became an “in thing” or “uso.”
