Yacht? Beachhouse property? Multi-level mansion? Vacations abroad? Actress Sylvia Sanchez and her husband, Art Atayde, have all of these for the family they built. She is one of the most-awarded actresses in the country, and with her love for her craft, she also ventured into producing films and series under the family company Nathan Studios, Inc., which was established during the pandemic.
Her children, Arjo Atayde and Ria Atayde, have also carved their own path in the show business, and following in their footsteps in the entertainment industry is Gela Atayde.
However, recently, their family was put at the center of the controversy after Curlee Discaya named Arjo as among the congressmen involved in the kickback allegations related to the anomalous flood control projects.
Arjo denied any involvement in the issue as the Quezon City 1st District Representative. The issues were then fueled after Discaya revealed that he wanted to take back the PHP 60 million given to his father. Curlee said that he did this to test these people to see if they’d help him or not.
“For sample po, yung katulad kay Cong. Arjo Atayde po, bale PHP60 million po ang sinabi ko sa chat ko. Kasi PHP60 million po yung pinababalik ko sa kanyang pera po na ibinigay ko sa tatay niya,” he said, referrring to Arjo’s father, Art Atayde.
Amid the issues, people online discovered another Korina Sanchez interview, this time, with Sylvia Sanchez. In the same interview done in 2022, the actress showcased the assets their family owns.
They own a jet ski, a small boat, a huge yacht, a beachfront property that serves as their vacation home, and a multi-level mansion with an elevator. The original video is no longer available on the YouTube channel of Sanchez’s program, “Rated Korina,” but several netizens have re-uploaded clips of the interview on social media.
In another interview with Karen Davila, she opened the doors of their new Mediterranean-inspired mansion, while also sharing another property they purchased within their subdivision.
With these interviews, people online could not help but regard Korina as the Saint of Exposés. Her interviews with the Discayas and Ataydes have shown their massive wealth as seen from their assets and properties.
