Former Mayor Alice Guo Claims there’s Threats on her Life
ALICE GUO – The former Mayor of Bamban, Tarlac who was arrested in Indonesia said she feels “happy” and “safe” to see the PH authorities.
Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is now back in the Philippines. Guo was arrested by the authorities in Indonesia after the PH government sought the assistance of the international authorities in locating the former Mayor.
Guo is faced with several accusations and complaints in the Philippines including her alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Tarlac. The PH authorities also questioned her identity. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) found that she has the same fingerprints with Gua Hua Ping, a Chinese national who entered the country in 2003.
According to NBI, it suggests that Alice Guo and Gua Hua Ping are the same person. Prior to the former Mayor’s arrest in Indonesia, her supposed sister, Shiela Guo, was detained in Indonesia and sent back to the Philippines.
However, the public was surprised when Shiela Guo claimed that Alice Guo is actually not her sister. Shiela admitted that she was born in China and her mother is still there. According to her, she came to the Philippines when she was 16 or 17 upon the order of her “foster father” to work in an embroidery business.
Shiela Guo claimed that exited the Philippines with Alice and Wesley through “a small boat” and they transferred to two (2) more boats to get to Malaysia. She denied being involved in the illegal POGO operations in Tarlac.
Alice Guo was arrested by the Indonesian authorities in an apartment. She was turned over to the Philippine authorities and, earlier today, the former Mayor arrived in Pasay. She was brought to Camp Crame where she is set to be detained while she has yet to post bail for the graft and corruption charges filed against her.
However, amid her arrest, countless netizens noticed that Alice is in a happy disposition as seen in her photos. The former Mayor was captured smiling several times in photos.
Recently, when she was presented by the authorities to the media wearing a CIDG detainee shirt, Alice Guo revealed that she is smiling in the photos as she is happy and she feels safe to see the PH authorities. It is amid her claim that there were death threats against her so she fled from the Philippines.
Guo confirmed asking help from the authorities due to the alleged death threats against her. It could be seen that the former Mayor has cut her hair which gave her a different look.
“Masaya din po ako na nakita ko po sila, I feel safe po,” Guo said.
Recently, the actual video of the arrest of former Mayor Guo in Indonesia was posted on social media. The former Mayor could be seen in pajamas when the authorities came to her rented apartment.
