PAGASA: Severe Tropical Storm Enteng Exits PAR

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (September 4, 2024)

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that severe tropical storm Enteng exits PAR.

On Wednesday (September 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Severe Tropical Storm Enteng has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA reported that Severe Tropical Storm Enteng was spotted some 265 kilometers west-northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte outside the country’s vicinity. However, the tropical cyclone has slightly intensified.

Enteng has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 125 kph. It is moving in a west-northwest direction.

“Outside the PAR region, Enteng will move generally westward until tomorrow (September 5), then turn west-northwestward for the remainder of the forecast period,” PAGASA said.

However, Enteng enhances that southwest monsoon, which will bring moderate to intense rainfall over parts of Luzon, particularly its western portions within the next three days.

“The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds.
