Fast-Food Chain Elicits Reactions After Failing to Provide Utensils for Aeta Customers
Aeta customers were forced to eat with their hands after a branch of a popular fast-food chain allegedly failed to provide utensils.
Recently, the Facebook page “Flight Attendant’s Beaute’ Secret,” criticized the branch for its treatment of indigenous customers. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments online.
In the video posted, several Aeta customers are seen eating their ordered meals of spaghetti and chicken from Jollibee with their hands. The uploader condemned the staff of the branch for what they perceived as a neglectful and discriminatory service.
The uploader bought three buckets of 8-piece chicken and 3 tubs of Jollibee spaghetti, but not a single pack of cutlery was included. The latter expressed frustration and implied that the lack of utensils might have been due to the customers’ ethnic background.
Many netizens criticized the fast-food chain for its apparent oversight and lack of customer care. The internet users called for better service standards and equal treatment for all customers, regardless of their background.
Some commenters urged Jollibee management to address the issue and ensure that such incidents do not happen again. They emphasized the importance of treating all customers with respect and dignity.
