Currently, an investigation is underway regarding this matter. Many have questioned how the owner managed to obtain a permit for the construction of the resort.

Captain’s Peak Resort announced a temporary closure in compliance with the closure order from the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Bohol.

Recently, the manager and sibling of Captain’s Peak Resort owner in Bohol sought a fair investigation. The appeal for investigation also extends to other resorts standing in Chocolate Hills that have been there longer than them.

Button’s sibling, Julieta Sablas, expressed her grievances. According to her, other resorts are standing in the Chocolate Hills. She hopes these will be thoroughly investigated as well.

“Meron pa pong malala dito… hindi ko na i-mention ang resort, pero kayo na ang mag imbestiga,” said Sablas.

Sablas is referring to other resorts such as Sagbayan Peak and Bud Agta standing in the Chocolate Hills.

Meanwhile, Sablas also expressed disappointment with the local officials in their area, accusing that they made it difficult for them to complete the necessary paperwork for the construction of the resort.
