Morissette Amon defended herself against this blind item
Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon reacted to a blind item about the behavior of “Phoenix” known for her “whistle tone” at a corporate event.
Vic Sevilla, an event director, shared in his Facebook post that a singer’s performance did not match the talent fee. He pointed out that the singer was expected to deliver a “fiery performance” but this did not happen.
This dismayed the event director and he posted his feelings on social media regarding what happened.
“She seemed zapped of energy, acted uninterested, and sounded distant and cold. It was as if all enthusiasm escaped her the moment she stepped on stage. It was disappointing given that performers of her stature and popularity demand a hefty price to appear in corporate events,” Sevilla wrote in his post.
He added that, at the very least, the singer could have faked her energy to cheer the audience. Sevilla did not mention any name but netizens guessed that it was Morissette Amon.
In a recent series of Instagram Stories, the Asia’s Phoenix addressed this issue, based on the article in Balita. She said that she had no plans of speaking about the rumors but it would be unfair if only one side of the story would be heard.
Morissette, who is dabbed the “next Regine Velasquez” stressed that she does not know the event director and his reason for tarnishing her name. She shared that before the performance, she was bedridden because she was sick.
However, for the sake of professionalism and her belief that the “show must go on,” she wanted to push the event even though she was already thinking of canceling her appearance the the said event.
The singer also stressed that she knew she could not give her 100 percent at that time but she did her best to perform for the audience. She also said that her conscience knew that what she gave was her best at that time. Morissette added that this kind of situation reminded her that she is also human and that she needs to rest as well.
