Morissette Amon Reacts To “Next Regine Velasquez” Tag

Morissette Amon is thankful for the success that she has achieved over the years

Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon reacted to the comment that she is Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez’s successor.

Regine has become an icon of the Philippine music industry. The recognitions and awards she received proved the success that she reached with her singing career. In the younger generation of artists, many people said that Morissette could be the “next Regine.”

Even Canadian producer Ovela, who is known for his reaction videos, said that Morissette is Regine’s “rightful successor.”

In a recent press conference for her upcoming series of concerts with Concert King Martin Nievera, Morissette Amon shared her thoughts on being called the heir of Regine Velasquez, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.

“I’m super grateful for this. Pinadala sa akin ng mga fans ko yung articles. I’m just super grateful na the likes of APO Hiking Society and same with Tito Martin who said I could be someone who could carry on OPM,” she said.

She also said that it is a big honor for her. Then, she shared that as an artist, she is having a transition. From a singer or interpreter for a long time, although she does not see any problem with this, Morissette said that she wants to venture into songwriting and producing as well.

“I’m just super grateful na I’m surrounded by the greatest people in my team to help me in my process,” the Asia’s Phoenix said. She is aware of the fact that this is not an easy adjustment. The singer said that it requires courage and the right mindset to try new things.

“I’m grateful na nakikitaan po nila ako ng potential. It just motivates me to keep going as an artist,” Morissette Amon said.
